Dyeing all weekend long!

Last weekend, I got into a serious fiber dyeing mood and dyed 16 batches of fiber! I found that I was getting great colors by dyeing a second batch of wool in the same water! I had a lot of great results! Some came out the second time better than others, but nothing was disappointing at all!

And to think that I actually got to touch and look really close at the fibers (over a Chinese lunch together, LOL)!!!!!!!! I feel special!

Will be over after my company leaves to see the loom. Don't know if it can beat your sweet spinning wheel, though.

Hello Monica,

Happy Valentine's Day to you. :0)

Oh, these colors turned out so great! How I wish I were there for lunch with you and Carol...boowhooo!!!!

I've had troubles with some of my emails the past few weeks but they are all working again now.

Did you get another phone??

Oh, and Thomas lost his job...he came home yesterday..they could not make any promises on being called back so he's going to apply for social security and unemployment! He turned 63 the end of last month. I'm so happy to have him home though...gosh, it's been hard living separated for almost a year.

Steph, Happy Valentine's Day to you too!!!
That would be so fun if we could all have lunch together! I had to get a new phone because my old one died! I still have the same #!

I am sorry to hear about Thomas and work, but I know you are thrilled to have him home!

I have missed chatting with you! I will have to e-mail you and catch up on what's been going on!
Hugs,Monica

Hello from the beautiful Methow Valley. I' so excited about your loom, I know you must just be itching to get your hands on it and weave something. Right now on my loom, I'm tying on some worsted weight wool, and then I'll weave a small blanket or afhgan, I will have pictures in my blog of it soon I hope.
Your dyeing is fabulas, and what is the fiber? I'm spinning some Colonial wool, it's very nice. Good to see you blogging!

Diana, It's all Romney wool that I get from a lady in Colorado! I have 5 fleece that I got from her and I was really happy with all of them! I can't wait to weave on it, but I figured I better be patient and wait for the right time to start! I need to figure out what to start with! I will have to do better on posting stuff!:)

Looks like you had a wonderful day - nothing like getting those dye pots going and watching the magic happen. Love the loom and when you get to your new home it will be a lovely addition. I am still there with you on your packing...

Oh Grace, I could never repay you for the wonderful fiber adventure you have started me on and all of the support and help you have given me along the way! It means so much to know that you are here with me in spirit as I pack and move!! I am praying that you and Ebony are doing better today! Hugs!

I've already seen this but it sure is pretty!! I can hardly wait to get my dyes from Beth so I can get started on some myself. :)

You need to take new photos of the craft room so we can see the progress.

Beautiful colors, isn't dying fiber fun? I really like your new loom. How do you have the time Lady?

monica said...

Sarita, I don't really find the time! If there were another 24 hours in a day, I still would not get everything done that I want to!!!

Steph, We are still in the process of getting moved! I need to post new pics of the house! I will come visit soon!
